Foreword This year, I accepted the role of Chair of ClimateWise to further enhance our long- standing partnership. We believe that ClimateWise provides a unique opportunity for the industry to collaborate and strengthen our collective response to climate change. At RenaissanceRe, our commitment to environmental, social and governance (“ESG”) matters has always been a central part of our corporate strategy, and it remains one of our core values today. A key area of our ESG strategy is to Promote Climate Resilience and reporting through ClimateWise allows us to outline the key risks and opportunities climate change poses to our business. We are a long-standing member of ClimateWise and report annually against their 7 Principles to help drive the (re)insurance industry response to climate change by going beyond the standard Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (“TCFD”) recommendations to provide a detailed, industry-specific insight into our management of climate change. We remain committed to continuously enhancing both our public disclosures in this space and the many ways in which we manage our exposure to climate-related risks.
